DIATOM-L is the listserv for researchers interested in the diatom algae. All aspects of diatom science are represented by the members, such as taxonomists, ecologists, and physiologists, but INQUA members might be interested to note that there is a large representation of paleoecologists. We encourage any active researcher in diatoms to sign up.
The membership includes researchers in Europe as well as the U.S. We welcome any meeting and job announcements, relevant scientific information, as well as general queries about diatom science that the members can address. For instance, an interest in diatom paleoecology in a particular region might bring a response from a scientist who has done work in that region. Please remember that any message addressed to DIATOM-L will go to nearly 100 diatom researchers, so only serious queries are encouraged.
