A colleague recently left me a note attached to Report No. 3 of the Byrd Polar Research Center at Ohio State University. The report is a manual for using MacPollen (Eisner, 1993; Eisner and Sprague, 1987). I reproduce the abstract in case Macintosh users may be interested:
A program is presented that can be run on most Macintosh computers. This program permits the drawing of pollen diagrams in a standard format. Pollen percentage diagrams and pollen concentration options are available within this program. The diagrams can be drawn in PICT format and transferred to various current drawing programs, where they can be enhanced to produce publication-quality pollen diagrams.
No price was mentioned, but for further information about obtaining this program, contact Dr. Eisner at the Byrd Polar Research Center, Ohio State University, 1090 Carmack Road, Columbus, Ohio 43210-1398, Tel: (614) 292-6715.
